Grove Farm

“Boards creak and you duck, in a farmhouse of the best kind: simple, small-roomed, stone-flagged, beamed, delightful. The walls are white, the polished furniture is good and there are pictures everywhere. In spite of the house’s great age, it’s light, with lots of pretty windows. The 500 acres are farmed organically.  Penny makes a grand breakfast – continental at busy times. Stupendous views across the Severn estuary to the Cotswolds, the Forest of Dean on the doorstep, and woodland walks carpeted with spring flowers. And there is simply no noise – unless the guinea fowl are in voice …”

What our guests say

We are regularly inspected by the VisitEngland (formerly the English Tourist Board) and are currently holders of their three-star recommendation. We are also listed on Trip Advisor.

Below are just some of the many positive comments we have received from guests:

“Relaxed, rejuvenating couple of days”

“We spent a couple of nights here and really enjoyed it. Our host, Penny, was easygoing and attentive. Breakfasts were great and the packed lunches for our walks were great value for money and delicious.

“The owners are real farmers and there was a lovely sense of being on a working farm not just in a posh house. Highly recommended.”

“Wonderful relaxing stay”

“The lovely view looks out over the River Severn in the distance and the only sounds are birds and cows – it is so peaceful. Our room was large and comfortably furnished with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was plenty big enough and well stocked with a heated towel rail and lovely large fluffy towels.

“We had a lovely two-day break and cannot recommend Grove Farm highly enough – stay here and you will not be disappointed.”
